To my IS juniors, although good academic grades are essential to pursue a successful working career, one should not neglect the importance of enhancing people skills."

After completing her Bachelor of Science and Master in Landscape Architecture in University of Sheffield, UK, Janice is currently doing International Master of Landscape Architecture in Germany.

Janice writes "Being the Health and Environment Councillor (2006) has inspired me to pursue landscape architecture to create/improve the environment for the well-being of the community or society. I especially enjoy the sense of being in a big family where students are given the opportunity to lead and unleash their potential with the guidance and advice from staff. I would urge IS students to make the best of the opportunities to integrate with fellow students and staff in both studies and activities."

Daniel Koh - Institut Sinaran Cambridge GCE A-Level Science (2006 - 2007)

After leaving IS in 2007, Daniel continued his tertiary education at Monash University. With his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) (Hons), he now works as House Officer at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Daniel writes: "IS provided me a good learning place near home where I felt comfortable and focused on my A-Level exam, instead of readjusting to a new environment in a different city. IS is a small community where the lecturers and administration staff are approachable. So IS juniors, do choose something that you would like to do consistently because consistency is the key to success in life."
