Sinaran student accepted by Imperial College London
Ranked consistently among the top universities in the world and 5th in Europe, Imperial College is a public research university in London, specializing in Science, Engineering, Business & Medicine.
Roger Fernandez Chang Sing Seng was certainly elated when he was accepted by the prestigious university to do a degree in Material Science & Engineering. Roger was among the high achievers in the Cambridge GCE A Levels June 2012 exam, scoring 3As.
Roger had this to say of his experience in Institut Sinaran. "During the past one and a half years at IS, I have learned the importance of time management. It is important to start preparing for any examinations as early as possible, so that you are able to learn at a suitable pace, and not be stressed out when the examinations are around the corner. It is also crucial that you revise daily what you have learned at school, so that you are not just able to keep up with the class, but it will also help you to be prepared for the upcoming lessons. The teachers at IS are great and very approachable in providing extra help for students in need whenever necessary. The events hosted by the student council also provide many opportunities for the students from different programmes to interact with each other as members of the 'IS Family'. I had a wonderful time in IS, as the school not only prepared me to obtain a place in a good university but also provided avenues for leadership grooming and personal development while making new friends".
